The project consists of 5 basements with three double-height (Mezzanine by tenant) floors above ground. The columns were on an 8m x 8m grid with tension piles underneath each column and a 1.5m thick raft.
Since the raft is sitting on sound rock, our value engineering assessment reveals that we can shift the piles present underneath the columns to the middle of the 8 x 8 grid, where they can only resist uplift and let the column downward load bear directly on sound rock.
